The Time of Reckoning CD has been made for our PC owning friends! But the nice boys and girls at Weird Science have made an Amiga installation disk which comes with the CD and gives us a nice configurable front end to it. The setting up of the GUI is very easy only a matter of telling it where your directories and executable are, then what levels, wads, map files, bsp files, patches, weapons, bots etc. The list goes on, because
there are add-ons for three games on this CD. We have the mighty...
 Quake, with
- 359 BSP files
- 260 New deathmatch levels
- 84 New single player levels
- 15 New capture the flag levels
- 88 New weapons
- 11 Monster patches
- 13 Different bots
- 25 Complete game changes
Quake is one of the most expandible games you can buy today. It is possible to alter every aspect of the game except the executable. Which lets other people make all the above changes to the game. This expandability has lead to hundreds of add-ons for Quake with new weapons, bots and complete game changes. Time of Reckoning has a huge array of the best of the Quake scene.

 Duke Nukem 3D, with
- 1185 MAP files
- 421 New single player levels
- 764 New Dukematch levels
Quite a few add-ons I am sure you will agree, but "Duke Nukem!" I hear you say "what is that doing there?" Well as I said it was for the PC originally but you never know when Duke Nukem might be made to run on the Amiga, and if it is you will be quids in because like every good Boy Scout you will be prepared because you have brought the Time of Reckoning CD!

Time of Reckoning will allow you to access all of the levels and add-ons on the CD, and install them where necessary, or run them direct from the CD if possible. As a general rule Quake extras must be installed, however Doom 'wad' files can be loaded directly from the CD. The Time of Reckoning takes care of ensuring the files go into the right place and will even remove them when you are finished if required. It even handles the unpacking of the extra files for you so you don't have to do much other than look at the new surroundings, listen to the new sounds, teach those baddies a lesson with the new weapons, and explore the new levels.
All in all if you have finished Doom or Quake or both and want to play some more, but make it different and a bit more interesting, then you should get this CD, because there are loads and loads of these type of files on the Internet, and Weird Science have trawled through what must be thousands and selected the best of a bunch, so that will save you time and money and space on your hard drive, its even better value if you have both games and no Internet access. What are you doing reading this if you have no Internet access? Of course, you are looking at the Official Weird Science Reviews Site on your mates Amiga, well done, now go and get your own Amiga and the Time of Reckoning CD.
