This book is big (just like the price), 921 pages big!
This is a major fault, it's too big. There's just too much text to get through. In fact it would be very intimidating for the newbies. The never ending conversational style that it uses throughout, means that it's difficult to find anything usefull as you read it, and awkward to to find anything when you want to use it as reference. It gets through the first 60 pages without even mentioning anything about any HTML tags! And It's black and white throughout, which makes it all seem very 'gray'.
However, it has shown me a couple of useful things that I didn't know before. And with nearly everything you need to physically produce and look at web pages, it does have it's good points. You just need to look hard for them!
