 22 NovemberA great injustice has been done... and I, Altrus have paid the price. The books I have created lead to worlds so fantastic, they could fill a lifetime. But something has gone terribly wrong and my creations are being destroyed by someone's greed. I suspect one of my sons, either Sirrus or Achenar, but I cannot be sure. I dare not write further without revealing too much. My only hope is that I can find the answer before it's too late... |
 That's about all you get when you start this adventure. Dumped on an island, on a world you know not where and in an uncertain time. It's deserted, warm and there's some nice music playing mysteriously in the background. Time to look around I reckon! |
 And very nice it looks too. Every single location, building, interior, tree, object and item has been beautifully rendered in 3D. The music is totally original and atmospheric. The sound effects are excellently well done. What more could you ask for?
The answer is gameplay. Has it got gameplay? Yes. Just point and click your way through the landscape / rooms / corridors / objects. No inventory to get in your way. No intricate mapping to be made or overlaid on the screen. No control panel obliterating part of the page. Just full screen graphics, easy movement and an intriguing plot. |
| It's a great game, this. I like adventures anyway but this one has gone further than the rest in almost every department. It is fun to explore, the plot unfolds nicely as you explore the various outdoor and indoor locations. The video clips are very good and not intrusive. With everything combined (graphics, video, music, Fx and plot) the atmosphere is set very realistically and makes this very enjoyable. Also you never die! There's no dead-ends to get stuck in, just look around some more, apply a bit more logic or leave the problem and come back later. Brilliant game for adventure lovers and really shows what the Amiga is capable of. It's a shame that I can't put more pictures on the page to show you, it'll just slow everything down too much! |

| Thing to note... Requires 8 meg of RAM to play. With a patch from ClickBOOMs Web Site it will run on Cybergraphx. It makes use of faster processors (really it needs an 030) The more you install to your hard drive the better. | |
