Assassins 2.
£9.99

Assassins 2This is the second release from the Assassins in their "Ultimate Games" series, and once again it's full of Public Domain and Shareware games for your perusal. Hundreds, all sorted and fixed, ready to run on CDTV, CD32 and Amigas with CD drives.

They've been fairly selective with their choice of titles to include, most of them are a pretty good representative of just what is available through the Public Domain. They've got numerous board games, a host of card games, many quiz games, stacks of shoot-em-ups, bundles of educational games, bags of puzzle games, an abundance of adventure games, a multitude of arcade games and even WorkBench games. Plus, if that isn't enough for you, then there is the entire Assassins games compilation disks number 1 to 250 included in DMS archives. More archived stuff includes utilities, tools and other games.

The menu system is very good. Colourful, clear, effective and well implemented. Pick the category of game required and you're presented with a list of names. Choose one of those and you can read the instructions, see if it's joystick, mouse or keyboard, then play it or go back to the list. Good, eh? Alternatively you can use the AmigaGuide document to access everything.

If you like PD or Shareware games then this is as good a collection as you'll find anywhere. Overall this is a good CD with a lot on offer.
