The name of these CD titles is a bit misleading in as much as they aren't a toolkit for designing multimedia projects, rather they contain multimedia type items for use in multimedia projects.
The single CD, volume 1, is effectively given away free with the second volume as it is about a year or so old now, and is not as good as the volume 2 double CD. The Toolkits are geared to the music and video enthusiastic or professional, and contain a wealth of Med, Music X and MIDI music modules, the full version of OctaMED 5.04, 500 24 bit images of various subjects, Imagine objects, textures and attributes, Lightwave objects, and hundreds of objects in DXF format. Then there's loads of clip-art stored as EPS and IFF, Adobe and Coloured fonts, and just to top it off there's even Magic Workbench icons and backdrops.
There are several utilities for the PC on volume 2, and is compatible with Amiga, PC, Atari and Mac.
Is it any good? Well, yeh!
Should I get it? That all depends on what other collections of music, graphics, or objects you have. I have to say that a 3 disk collection for £20 is a good deal for anyone.
