World Cup 98 update

CU Amiga & G. Cresswell

Have you been looking for a good World Cup 98 football game?

Well, you've always known that there's nothing better than SWOS. And if you love your football then you've probably been updating the teams and stats yourself or getting the updates from Aminet. Here, now is the latest update, and of course it's all about World Cup 98.

Available on the CU Amiga cover CD and possibly from these sites...

This update contains updated teams for all of the 32 nations taking part in Football Frenzy France, and also some new World Cup related graphics. The only thing wrong with the update is that they haven't had time to edit the main executable and alter which teams appear in the event from the 'Preset Competition' menu, you'll just have to set up the teams yourself! Not too difficult.

This is not an official release from Sensible Software, they are busy doing other stuff, but it does have their support. And CU say that if there is enough demand then a proper update may become available.

It is particularly easy to install if you already have the game installed to your hard drive, just a matter of copying some files into the directory. If you only have it on floppy disk it can still be updated but make sure you're using a copy of the original disk two. Disk one has copy protection and no guarantees are made if you ruin the original disk. Having said that disk one is not essential for the update.

A very nice update to an excellent game. You wont find a better footy game on the market!
