Welcome to Paradise City
Welcome to Paradise City
Hi there. I hope you are all
well. No, well never mind just don't die just yet, eh. Here we
are at the birth of a new creation, "Paradise City".
The best, in our opinion, computer publication on the web, and
anywhere else for that matter.
Not that we are arrogant, or anything like that.
Well maybe just a little. OK down to the serious side of things
Paradise City has been launched to provide the world with
a non-biased, non-greedy, quality, support publication for the
PC market. Our aim is to improve the overall standard of this
market by encouraging the quality products and discouraging the
crap. We are a straight talking team that will say what we mean
without worrying about upsetting anyone. All that we want is to
have quality products to use without having to waste our time
wading through mounds of trosh.
Bearing everything in mind we have decided to produce
Paradise City, no longer will we tolerate being told that
a product is the most wonderful thing since fire just because
some magazine has an exclusive. No more will we put up with companies
avoiding reviews by not sending their products in to the magazines
(we will catch them on launch with our Lightening Review service)
hoping for good sales before the magazines can tell you it is
crud. We will stand, alone if necessary, to tell you the truth.
Our reviewers are trained in their fields, we will
not work with people just because they can write pretty words,
or even because they know lots of long fancy ones. Our policy
is to offer in-depth quality even if it is a bit rougher than
other publications. To clarify my point would you prefer a nice
eloquent review about the first three levels of a ten level game,
or a slightly less eloquent review about all ten levels? The choice
is yours.
We aim to offer you a new service that has rarely
been approached before, in this field. Our concerns are to co-operate
with the industry as a whole to raise the standards of all the
products that make it to the public. Advice will be offered when
it is requested, and even when it is not! We will however not
be kind to companies that do nothing but try to avoid us - if
they do not believe in their own products then why should they
expect you to purchase them?
Well enough for now. Let us get on with the task
in hand, dish out some awards, and bury the non-quality products
in the vastness of the past.
Demand your rights, live well, and most importantly
of all, enjoy!
