Yeah well what the hell is it?
Well Paradise City is a new on-line, ongoing, computer (PC) orientated, magazine. On-line because it is on the World Wide Web. Ongoing because it is not a monthly publication, as soon as articles are written they are published, as news is received we tell you about it straight away. There is no two to three month wait for printing. Computer orientated because Paradise City is a computer magazine, about computers, software including games, hardware, and accessories, oh and anything that is even slightly related and interests us.
Well that all sounds OK but how much is this wonderful magazine going to cost me?
There is a simple answer to this question - nothing, sod all, not a penny, well that is unless you count the cost of the telephone call connecting you to the Internet. The only charges that are made will be to those who wish to advertise with us.
Why, and how, are you doing this?
Well why the hell not? Paradise City is a privately funded publication that is not limited by being associated with a paper production. The reason that we are doing this is because I am rather fed up with the crap way that the major publishers are treating us, the public. I do not want to wait to read about news while a publication is being stored for maybe a month after it has been printed. Especially when the news is already two months old then. What is the point in that? Well basically I believe that the future of publishing, especially computer support media, is on the Internet so here I am. As to the free bit well I am not tied to the boring system utilized by traditional publishers so I can reduce overheads and still keep the quality. Anyway with enough readers the advertising will cover things.
Now that I have had a chance to tell you what I am doing you will have to make a decision as to whether you think that Paradise City is of any use to you.
