The Garden Temple

Longfield Stone offers you our exclusive Garden Temple which is made from reconstituted stone and is hand finished to the highest standards.
It is hexagonal in shape and stands 8’ 2½" high and 12’ 8" in diameter (including flooring). It is made up of six columns, full circle of lintels, a paved floor and seating.

Floor and Seating

The Longfield Garden Temple comes complete with a paved floor which comprises a circular pattern of custom produced paving stones.
Seating is also included with the temple in the form of two curved benches.
Each bench consists of two pillar legs and one seat piece.

The flooring design, as shown to the left, is created from 72 separate slabs formed into five rings. The centre ring consists of four quarter-circle slabs, followed by a ring of 12 slabs, then 16, and finally two rings of twenty slabs. The flooring dimensions are a total of 12’ 8" in diameter.

Pillars and Lintels

As detailed the Longfield Garden Temple is a hexagonal* structure comprising six columns and six lintels, along with the floor and seating as detailed opposite.
The lintels are specially reinforced, with steel bars, for extra structural integrity, whilst retaining their classic design. Each lintel is 60" in length with special fixing pieces to connect them.

The columns are 7’ 1½" in size and taper from a maximum diameter of 12" (30.5 cm) for added stability. Each column is topped with a Corinthian Capital as shown here.
