The John Bull is a lively pub located on the outskirts of Trowbridge, in the Studley Green area. A traditional English pub set in its own grounds with gardens both to the front and the rear the John Bull caters for the whole family.
Our large Beer Garden also contains a special childrens play area.
We cater for a wide range of pub entertainments including pool, darts, skittles, quiz nights, and satellite television. During the summer months we offer various special and regular events (see our Events Page for more details), and quality food, at a reasonable price is available in our restaurant.

- The John Bull has one pool table located in its own space in the public bar. Priced at 50p a game during the evenings and free-play during weekday lunchtimes. Our pool teams play in the Trowbridge Pool League and we are always looking for new players and teams.
Thursday evening is when we hold the John Bull Open. A small competition with a cash prize to the winner.

- Our two darts teams both play in the local darts league, and reasonably successfully so. Our league night is a Wednesday so why not pop down and either play, or to support our teams.

- Our popular skittle alley is used by some six teams currently, three men's and three ladies teams.

- Crib boards are available from behind the bar and we will be starting a crib team in 1997.

- Satellite television is available in the public bar with most of the top sporting events covered, including the top boxing and football matches.

- Every Sunday evening we hold a fun Team Quiz at 8:30pm after a barbeque (weather permitting).

- The John Bull has its own car park with parking for about 20 cars. Other than this there is plenty of street parking available in the surrounding streets.

- We cater for a full range of functions from Weddings to funerals, birthday parties to christening celebrations, and any other occasion. Our separate function room, with direct access to our large enclosed garden, is ideally suited for buffets and live entertainment/discos, with our restaurant available for sit-down meals.
